Dick (Born 2-7-1958) and I actually met in Nursery school off Foothill Expressway. We later connected at summer school, Awalt High, and when we went back to school that fall, we realized we both went to Los Altos High. We eventually met up at a "float party" in October of 75, married right out of High School and were together for more than 44 years. We raised 2 wonderful boys, Mike and Marc. They enjoyed a life filled with skiing, music, camping and dirt bikes. Dick had a career in Marketing but his true passion was helping others. From his Boy Scout days... to his years in Search and Rescue for Placer County, he lived to be of help to others. His sons, Mike and Marc both married beautiful women, whom Dick adored, Mike has two girls, now 10 and 7 which Dick got to know and love. He also loved his beautiful Bernese Mountain Dogs who laid by his side at home after surgeries and treatments. He was diagnosed with Colon Cancer around 2013 and given 6 weeks to live. He fought that battle for almost 10 years with surgeries and clinical trials. His parents both passed 6 months prior to his passing on November 14th 2022. When he passed there were so many tributes that even I had never heard. It was a life well lived. He rested in service to his family and community. With love, Dianne
