I am saddened by the guest book responses. One could assume that only white students attended LAHS. Did any of us know the Asian, Latino, African-American students? I note their absence in the updates. Perhaps that explains who does and does not attend the reunions.

Although absent in the photos, I am alive and thriving. I look at our collective photos with affection, especially keeping our LGBTQ+ folks in mind. Life takes its twists, and for some of us it took time to find the destination. I see your photos, my dear gay friends: not sure we knew it back then, but there was an affinity.

My 4 years at Los Altos High were exciting, fun and crazy memories. I am grateful to many classmates. Looking forward to seeing and visiting with everyone. Your friend forever, Damian.

Many thanks to everyone who donated their time, effort and positive energy into making this reunion happen! What an extraordinary evening. So many different people reconnecting after 40 years! (40 years!%uD83D%uDE28) I only wish that I had recognized and had time to talk to more people.  See you at the 50th!  I wish you all well.

To My Great Friends of Life and Times of Los Altos High,

Another of Life's Great Adventures will keep me from being with all of you at the 40th,  So, I'll attempt to catch-up and sum up the last 40 years with you with the following two passages:

"I believe that it is better to tell the truth. I believe it is better to be free than be a slave. I believe it is better to know than be ignorant."         H.L. Mencken (1880 - 1956)

and of course, I just can't resist adding this as a salute to
LAHS  Class of '76 (some more than others... ):

"Beer on Whiskey - Pretty Risky.  Whiskey on Beer - Never Fear."     JAV (1958 -  )

Los Altos  was (and still is) a Pretty Special place and the 70's was a Pretty Special time. It was a amazing to go through those years with you characters !  Thanks for the Memories !

Wow!  Thanks to Judi McDowell for tracking me down this past weekend and telling me about the reunion. Although I moved away after freshman year and went to two other high schools, LAHS is still my only HS.  And to be included for every reunion makes my heart sing.  I'm working on logistics and hope to be there to reconnect with everyone!

Though the past 40 years have taken all of us to many unique places and through a variety of life's experiences, we shall always be bound by the time we shared at Los Altos High School between 1972 and 1976. Thanks to all the reunion committees and all of their members that, through the years, have kept the fond memories alive so that each of us can cherish those moments forever. -Well done, and it will be great to see everyone again.

I am really looking forward to this.  LAHS has a special place in my heart.  High School was a blast and I also was fortunate enough to have both my kids attend LAHS, so it has remained a big part of my life.  I have gotten used to the Knights becoming the Eagles,  but not wthout a bit of embarrassment.  I do the announcing for the LAHS Track team, and my first year I introduced them as the Knights.

Looking forward to seeing everyone.  Have lived in Boston for 30 plus years.  My family is still in the Bay Area.  Have not been out to a reunion since our 10th. Hoping to reconnect and have fun.
